    Let me be the first to say congratulations. This is a wonderful turn of events and you deserve all the credit. Your work is outstanding and this will preserve it for any and all to see for years to come. And I suspect the finished product will become part of the regular discussion of this best of all novels.

  2. Thank you William, truly, nothing would be more amazing and gratifying than to know that these drawings had become part of the greater dialogue about Melville and "Moby-Dick." That would be the accomplishment of a lifetime for me. I do hope that comes true.
